UroMaxi Flow® – Helps maintain Prostate Health
Men with changes in urinary function predominantly suggestive of an obstructive condition may benefit from daily supplementation with UroMaxi Flow®.
Our experts formulated this product for a reason:
Prostate problems are common; In the UK alone 3.2 million men, over one third of men aged 50(1) and up to two thirds of men by the age of 60,(2) suffer from the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, also known as benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).
As the prostate enlarges more pressure is put on the urethra, which can make it more difficult to pass urine and maintain normal urinary function and either obstructive, irritative or both symptoms associated with BPH may occur. These troublesome and unpleasant changes in normal urinary function do not just impair quality of life of patients and their families but also increase the risk of serious conditions such as acute urinary retention, hospitalisation and surgery.(3)

UroMaxi Flow® is a natural health supplement that has been formulated to specifically assist in the maintenance of prostate health and urinary tract function and is designed to be taken with prescription medicines or on their own. Individual components are included based on evidence of their potential role in the maintenance of a healthy prostate and urinary tract.
UroMaxi Flow® contains ingredients which have been clinically highlighted to help avoid both obstructive and irritative changes to urinary health. This natural daily supplement would benefit men with changes in urinary function predominantly suggestive of an obstructive condition.

The prostate gland is located below the bladder and is normally about the size of a walnut and produces the liquid component of semen (prostatic fluid) which is vital for effective reproduction. As men age, the prostate enlarges and in many cases this results in obstruction of the bladder and the production of bothersome symptoms.
In the UK alone 3.2 million men, over one third of men aged 50 (1) and up to two thirds of men by the age of 60(2), suffer from the symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).
Due to the location of the prostate, non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia – BPH) can result in squeezing of the urethra which can make it more difficult to pass urine. The symptoms of BPH which affect the lower urinary tract (bladder and urethra)are called ‘obstructive’ or ‘irritative’ symptoms and in addition a link has been highlighted(4) between decreased erectile function and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated BPH.
Obstructive symptoms are caused by the prostate putting pressure on the urethra, narrowing it and making it harder to for the urine to pass. Examples of obstructive symptoms are hesitancy (difficulty starting urination), Poor stream (weaker flow of urine, taking bladder longer to empty), dribbling/leakage (towards the end of flow, urine become a slow dribble or you experience leakage) and poor emptying (not being able to completely empty the bladder).
Irritative symptoms tend to be secondary to the obstructive symptoms as the bladder needs to work harder to function normally; the bladder thickens and reduces in capacity to hold urine. Examples of irritative symptoms are frequency (passing urine more often than normal), nocturia (getting up at night to urinate) and urgency (sudden and intense need to go to the toilet immediately).
These troublesome and unpleasant changes in normal urinary function do not just impair quality of life of patients and their families but also increase the risk of serious conditions such as acute urinary retention, hospitalisation and surgery. (3)

UroMaxi Flow® – Natural BPH Supplement Factsheet (opens in new window)
Prescription drugs are available which either “shrink” the prostate or affect the flow of urine by acting on the prostate smooth muscle. As a result they can take some time to be effective. UroMaxi Flow® has been formulated to have a rapid effect on the structures that control the flow of urine with a rapid corresponding time of action to improve problematic changes in urinary health.
Complementary and alternative products such as supplements have become increasingly popular as dietary health supplements for the treatment/improvement and prophylaxis of urological disorders and to improve general health and wellbeing.
UroMaxi Flow® is a natural health supplement that has been formulated to assist specifically in the maintenance of prostate health and urinary tract function and is designed to be taken with prescription medicines or on their own. Each of the individual excipients were selected due to their potential role in the maintenance of a healthy prostate and urinary tract.
UroMaxi Flow® contains ingredients which have been shown clinically to beneficial in some patients to avoid or reduce the obstructive and irritative changes to urinary health. This natural daily supplement may benefit men with changes in urinary function predominantly suggestive of an obstructive condition.
UroMaxi Flow® contains;
Glutamine: an antioxidant believed to assist in the stimulation of the immune system(5)
Glycine: an essential amino acid with anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory actions(6)
Alanine: naturally present in prostatic fluid and in combination with glutamic acid and glycine, it is believed to relieve symptoms of prostatic infections(7,8)
In a controlled investigation of BPH, the use of these 3 amino acids in combination were shown to reduce the size of the enlarged prostate in the majority of cases, effectively relieving many of the associated urinary symptoms (8)
Beta-sitosterol: a naturally occurring phytosterol with anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferation and immune system stimulation properties. It has an established benefit in the relief of symptoms associated with BPH(9)
Gamma-oryzanol: a complex substance prepared from rice bran containing phytosterols and feruic acid with antioxidant properties
Quercetin: a naturally occurring flavoid with known anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferation and antioxidant properties which has been reported to improve symptoms related to prostatitis(10)
Nettle extract (Urtica Dioica): An anti-inflammatory effect in the prostate which has been reported to improve irritation and obstructive symptoms associated with BPH(11)
Vitamins and minerals such as zinc, selenium, vitamin E, B2, B12 plus panthothenic acid and folate have been included into the formulation for beneficial effects on the prostate and urinary tract health.
